Becoming a parent is such a profoundly emotional transition, and whether it's your first or your fifth, you may want a little more help. My goal is to help mothers adjust to their new role and to establish and maintain adequate support and wellness throughout the entire childbearing journey. In 2020, I established Ardeo Counseling LLC to offer new mothers a safe and inviting practice with their unique needs in mind.
I have been working in mental health since 2011, and following the birth of my daughter in 2016, I discovered a passion for maternal mental health. In 2019, I became the first provider in Harford County to be certified in Perinatal Mental Health. Since then, I have completed additional training in infertility/reproductive counseling, and am a member of Postpartum Support International and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. I am co-chair of the Maryland Chapter of Postpartum Support International.
I am a lifelong Harford County resident, and I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children in and around Havre de Grace. I am a self-proclaimed "book nerd," and when I find some (rare) quiet time, you can usually find me reading, quilting, or binging TV.
I pride myself on being open and easy to talk to; if you are looking for additional support throughout your journey, please email me to set up a meeting.
