Jennifer Sauers, LCPC, PMH-C

Welcome! My name is Jen. Pregnancy and postpartum can be filled with joy but it can also be a vulnerable and trying time. When something joyful turns out to be sad, when we are feeling afraid, when we struggle with self-blame, shame and guilt, having a therapist to hold space and offer support is both necessary and rewarding. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor offering therapy that helps alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma. I believe that symptoms are not who we are and do not define us, and that each of us has our own innate wisdom and capacity for healing. We do not choose our crisis but we can choose how we want to grow and transform.

Using a client-centered approach, I strive to help individuals make sense of their symptoms, learn effective ways to cope, and create more satisfying relationships with themselves and others. I take pride in being a good listener, offering acceptance, and helping individuals rediscover their strengths. My educational background is in Clinical Psychology and I have worked in various inpatient and outpatient mental health settings since 2006, providing compassionate trauma-informed care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and am working on my certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. Outside of practice, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, running, coffee, and dark chocolate.

I would be honored to walk with you while we navigate through your journey towards wellness. Please reach out if you feel we would be a good fit!
